Outreach Services

How many hours of service does my child need?

The number of hours any child needs varies based on age, educational level, and current educational program. Research supports that students on the autism spectrum should receive between 20-40 hours per week of ABA services. CCCD conducts initial assessment and will make recommendations for a specified number of hours.

How much time will a supervisor spend with my child?

In general, CCCD recommends at least 2 hours of supervision per week provided by a qualified behavior analyst. Recommended hours vary depending on the child’s educational services.

What should I do during my child’s ABA sessions?

CCCD provides training for parents, caretakers and other professionals as part of regular consultation. Parent involvement is individualized and priorities are set by parents, other service providers and CCCD staff.

Do you work in school settings?

CCCD outreach provides consultation within home, school and community settings.

Can you provide support to a classroom?

CCCD staff can provide training to classroom staff as well as consult to individuals students’ programs.

Do you work with related service providers?

CCCD works collaboratively with other service providers on any child’s team.

Do you provide direct instructors?

CCCD does not provide direct instructors, but may be able to refer families to other providers.
